I have been photographing newborns and families for over 8 years, and capturing the newness of a week old baby just never gets old. Somehow I am still surprised by just how tiny these sweet babies are each time I show up at a client’s home for their in home newborn session. This mama shared with me that their experience with newborn photos for their first child was incredibly stressful. They went to a photography studio that was far away, the baby wouldn’t sleep, they were there for several hours, and she was not happy with the photos in the end. I am so glad that I was able to provide them with a much better experience. One of the best parts of hiring a traveling newborn photographer is that you can just relax during the session. You don’t need to leave the house (which is such a struggle with a new baby!). If you have other children, they can be comfortable in their own environment, play and have snacks, and take their time to warm up to the idea of a stranger photographing them. And while I am photographing the baby, you can take your time getting picture-ready for those priceless first family photos.
Here are some of my favorites from this session (although I loved them all!) I’m so glad I could help this family create some beautiful wall art to hang in their home and enjoy!
In order to best meet the needs of my clients and deliver a full custom experience, session availability is limited. Contact me now to book your session! Maternity sessions typically take place between 32-34 weeks and newborn sessions should be scheduled well in advance of your due date (but I do my best to fit in those last minute requests!)
