Senior pictures have changed a lot over time, and long gone are the days of boring pictures where everyone looks the same. The whole point of senior portraits is to celebrate the amazing, unique person your graduate has become in the first 18 years of their life and freeze a moment in time before they are off into the world and new adventures. Here are some creative ideas for senior pictures in Northeast Ohio that really show who some of my previous high school senior clients are, and I look forward to working with you to highlight your senior in their own special way!
When planning your high school senior’s portrait session, I recommend that they choose something to represent a sport, hobby, or location that is special to them to include in their session. I’ve had clients bring a soccer ball, skateboard, ballet shoes, and a pickup truck. I’ve had dancers perform beautiful leaps in a field of flowers and football players pose in their football stadiums. A cheerleader pose with her pom-poms and a (girl!) hunter pose with her (pink!) bow and arrow. We’ve used locations like the woods behind a client’s home that he grew up playing in, a nature center that a client volunteered at, and a client’s favorite trail in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Clients have worn letter jackets, shirts with their sport, and a traditional Indian sari. I love letting my senior clients’ personalities shine and working together to plan some creative ideas for senior pictures that are unique to each individual!
